1. Background

The Calvert Arts Festival (CAF) began in 2007 as a juried event showcasing Southern Maryland artisans, wineries, food vendors, and entertainers. Local brewers have since joined the event, which takes place annually on the second Saturday of May.

Visitors can explore All Saints' beautiful campus—including a labyrinth—and enjoy docent-led tours of our historic parish hall. The festival also features live music, a silent auction, and children's crafts.

• October: Begin quarterly artisan jurying and selections

• March: Begin advertising and sponsorship campaigns
• April: Volunteer and donation push
• May: Campus preps and event setup/teardown
• June: Artisan and financial close out

4. Planning Teams and Leads

The festival's leadership consists of three key roles: the chair, admin tent lead, and artisan lead.  All team leaders must take ownership of coordinating their functional area and volunteer management.
